Beefeater gin launches London movie awards

Beefeater Gin is releasing a limited edition ‘Our London Movie Awards’ bottle that celebrates the spirit of London and the iconic movies that bring the city to life.

For millions of people around the world, London’s perception as a vibrant, dynamic and exciting place has been fuelled by some of the great movies, which have brought the city to life. Beefeater Gin is recognising the impact these movies have made through creating a digital ‘Our London Movie Awards’ and inviting consumers and movie fans around the world to help judge the ultimate London films.

The Beefeater ‘Our London Movie Awards’ bottle design features the traditional Yeoman re-imagined as a awards trophy set in front of the London skyline.

To access the awards consumers need to visit: beefeatergin.com/olma where they will explore, learn about and vote for a shortlist of movies. In certain markets consumers will also have the chance to enter a competition to win a movie-inspired trip to London.

The awards take consumers on a cinematic adventure, showcasing the greatest films that have been inspired by the city. From a visit to Baker Street, a trip beneath the Houses of Parliament, to the bohemian bookstores and a blue front door – the awards provide a full tour of a host of iconic London locations.

To celebrate the awards in style, Beefeater’s global brand ambassadors have created eight unique cocktails inspired by the shortlisted films, from the dazzling Diamond Fizz inspired by Snatch to a twist on a classic with the Dog’s Nose Negroni from Oliver Twist. “From smoky ingredients used for an innovative V for Vendetta inspired Gunpowder Martini, to recreating true classics such as the Gin + Dubonnet for The King’s Speech, the cocktails all capture the true spirit and diversity of London.”

Links to the cocktail recipes and short ‘shaker cam’ videos showing how to prepare them, can be found at @BeefeaterGin on Instagram and @BeefeaterGinLondon on Facebook.

The limited edition release will be rolling out globally from this month at an RRP of £17.50.
