Gin brand, Edgerton Original Pink, has announced the appointment of new managing director, Gruffald Salter.
At the age of 22, Gruffald has been with Edgerton for three years, joining the company in 2013 after meeting founder Martin Edgerton Gill at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit. During his time with the company, the distribution of Edgerton Original Pink Gin has grown rapidly, with the gin now sold in over 25 export markets and counting.
Founder Martin Edgerton Gill says: “Gruff has gained in stature month by month since joining us at Edgerton in 2013. Not only have his sales results been outstanding but he has shown that he can handle administration and control costs, while also acknowledging the vital role social media and marketing plays in the business. With more than 600 gins on the market today, the fact we are 50% up on last year is down to Gruff and I look forward with confidence to working with him in this new role.”
Managing director Gruffald Salter says: “It is a great privilege to lead Edgerton Gin into new markets as managing director. Edgerton is a brand with such genuine prestige and it’s an honour to work so closely with Martin as founder, who is still very much involved in the running of the business. Similarly, we’ve had a great response from consumers following record sales in Dubai and at supermarkets in Australia and Italy to name a few. With the UK being our home, the next stage is to re-focus our efforts towards tastings, events and exhibitions that support our current stockists here.”
