Argento brings a touch of Buenos Aires to UK

Bodega Argento is bringing to the UK a new line of Buenos-Aires inspired wines, Comuna.

Available from Sainsbury’s this winter, the new range features a classic Mendoza Malbec and a Mendoza Pinot Grigio, both at RRP £7.00.

With Comuna, Bodega Argento aims to bring the spirit of Buenos Aires to UK consumers. Argentina’s capital is divided into 15 different districts or ‘comunas’ and each one has its own very distinct personality and story to tell.

Comuna number three (Balvanera and San Cristóbal) is considered to be the birthplace of tango in 1890s and is also the inspiration behind the range’s vibrant labels; quintessentially Buenos Aires.

Bodega Argento’s managing director in UK, Gustavo Crespo, says: "We are very excited to be launching Comuna in Sainsbury’s this winter. Both varieties, Malbec and Pinot Grigio, have a huge following in the UK and with the great value Comuna offers we expect to see these stylish wines fly off the shelves."

Mendoza Pinot Grigio has an ABV of 12% and will be available from November. Mendoza Malbec has an ABV of 13% and is available from January 2017.
