Douglas Laing releases a Timorous Beastie

Douglas Laing & Co, has released Timorous Beastie 21 Years Old, a limited-edition release of 2718 bottles.

The Highland blended malt Scotch whisky carries a big sherry influence, honoured by the deep purple and gold foiled gift tube. The liquid is said to be “unmistakably Timorous Beastie”, displaying sweet barley, honey and spices, with new and explosive dimensions delivered by the long maturation and the sherry casks.

In the line with the firm’s philosophy to bottle Scotch Whisky “as natural as it gets”, Timorous Beastie 21 Years Old is without colouring or chill-filtration, and at high alcohol strength of 46.8%.

Chris Leggat, commercial director at Douglas Laing, comments: “Hot on the heels of Timorous Beastie 40 Years Old, we’re proud to reveal Timorous Beastie Sherry Edition, an incredibly rich and fruity dram that shows great maturity and complexity in ode to its 21 long years of maturation. The ultimate sherried malt!”

Timorous Beastie 21 Years Old Sherry Edition is available at specialist retailers globally from November 2016 and is expected to retail at around £90.
