St Austell brewery has released its homage to the West Coast American pale ale, with Eureka APA launched nationally and a keg launch following in January 2017.
Created by brewing director Roger Ryman, Eureka is a single-hopped APA crafted in the West Coast USA style that inspired a brewing generation. Using Maris Otter barley blended with crystal rye malt to create a flash of amber, alongside a little flaked maize, California ale yeast was used in the fermentation.
With Eureka set to hit the bar in time for Christmas, Roger Ryman comments: “Eureka hops pack a real taste punch and we really wanted to create something that did them justice. We’ve had such an amazing and positive response to Eureka since we first brewed it on the Small Batch so it made total sense to launch it as a core brand allowing it to reach a wider audience.”
Eureka APA comes in at a traditional 4.9% ABV.
