Dunnet Bay Distillery is releasing a limited-edition gin, The Lassies Toast, in celebration of Burns Night. Dunnet Bay claims Burns enjoyed Moorland tea and therefore the recipe aims to recognise this.
The name of the gin features the traditional way of celebrating the end of the Burns night meal.
The Lassies Toast features bilberry leaves, strawberry leaves, heather tops, speedwell and wild thyme, ingredients found in the Moorland tea recipe, alongside conventional gin botanicals such as juniper and a wheat base spirit.
Following the popularity of a limited run last year, Dunnet Bay Distillery has now bottled The Lassies Toast gin into a collectable red glass bottle and each will be hand signed, numbered and sealed at the distillery. The packaging design was by Pocket Rocket Creative.
Dunnet Bay Distillery is run by master distiller Martin Murray, alongside his wife Claire.
Just 250 bottles will be released, available exclusively from the Dunnet Bay Distillery website from January 13, 2017, priced at £34.
