Glendalough launches wild botanical gin

Irish craft distillery Glendalough has captured all four of its seasonal gins in one bottle: Glendalough Wild Botanical Gin.

Bottled at 41% ABV with an RRP of €35, Glendalough Wild Botanical Gin is presented in the distillery's distinctive packaging with the outstretched figure of the fabled Saint Kevin.

This new addition to distillery’s gin collection is produced in exactly the same small batch, artisanal method using fresh wild botanicals, never dried, picked from the mountains around the distillery, placed in the still within hours of foraging and slow-distilled in batches of less than 250 litres. Cut-points are decided batch by batch by smell and taste alone.

Glendalough's describes the gin as having fresh spring notes with juniper, citrus, pine on the nose - a forest clearing in bloom. And on the palate, summer flowers and hints of autumn fruits finally giving way to warm spice.
