Official World Gin Day gin launched

That Boutique-y Gin Company and World Gin Day have collaborated to create an official World Gin Day gin, featuing botanicals from across the globe.

Saturday 10 June will be the ninth annual World Gin Day, with over 100 events taking place around the world and many more joining in online using #WorldGinDay.

For the first time, the day will also have its own official gin thanks to a collaboration between That Boutique-y Gin Company and World Gin Day organiser Emma Stokes aka Gin Monkey.

The World Gin Day 7 Continents Gin has been made using a single ingredient from each continent – European Juniper, Australian Coriander Seed, North American Angelica Root, Asian Cinnamon, African Liquorice Root and South American Lime Zest. The final distilled gin has then been ‘lifted’ and mellowed with the addition of a tiny amount of Antarctic sea salt.

Emma Stokes, from World Gin Day says: “Every year World Gin Day grows bigger, with more people around the world celebrating all things gin. This year is no different, and 2017 is set to be the biggest yet. I'm so excited to be working with That Boutique-y Gin Company to produce a gin made especially for the day, it's been a fantastic collaboration, and I think we've come up with a brilliant and slightly unusual gin!”

World Gin Day 7 Continents Gin (Batch 1) is a limited release of 880 bottles with an ABV of 47.7% (RRP £31.95), Available now from retailers including  Amazon and Master of Malt.
