Mayor Pingree rye launched by Valentine

Valentine Distilling has added a rye whiskey to its Mayor Pingree portfolio of products.

Head distiller and product manager Justin Aden says: "Mayor Pingree Rye is an archetypal example of rye flavours and aromas, presented impressively through a tremendously smooth and mild body that is very difficult to deliver in a four-year-old rye. The 'nature-forward' notes – wild honey, rhubarb, and fresh hayloft – collude very well with traditional notes of caramel, dusty oak and the grains hallmark spice finish to produce a quintessential snapshot of rye whiskey at four years along its aging journey.”

The Mayor Pingree Rye Whiskey 90 Proof’s first shipment has made its way to store shelves, and Valentine will continue to release limited quantities. 

President and founder Rifino Valentine said: “The Rye Whiskey has seen great success in its first couple weeks. I am very excited for the general public to try out our new addition and show what a real rye whiskey is made of."
