New York based distributor Turquoise Life has announced an exclusive USA importing partnership with Parce Rum from Colombia.
Jim Powers CEO of Parce Rum said: "We are extremely pleased that Turquoise Life will now serve as the exclusive importer of Parce Rum to the U.S. Turquoise Life’s dedicated team has a winning combination of sales savvy and visionary drive perfectly suited for our small batch, hand bottled rums.”
Turquoise Life will import the full Parce portfolio, which includes three expressions of blended rum: Parce 3 Year Rum, Parce 8 Year Rum and Parce 12 Year Rum. Each expression is blended by Arthur and Brojen Fernandes Domecq, a father-and son duo of master blenders from Bogotá, who have more than 50 years combined experience working with premium rum. The final blend of Parce Rum, which is manually bottled and hand-labeled, comes with the promise that every drop of rum is no younger than the age listed on the bottle.
Tunch Doker, president Turquoise Life said: “At Turquoise Life, we strive to set trends within the beverage industry by curating a boutique collection of the highest quality products from around the world. We seek out aspirational brands that consumers will demand. As the leading ultra-premium blended rum from Colombia, Parce is a natural fit for our portfolio. We are ecstatic to grow the Parce brand across the country and to represent a spirit that is highly respected both internationally and within its country of origin.”
Parce, which credits its namesake to a Medellín street slang term that means friend, is steeped in heritage and bottles the passion and beauty of Colombia. The Parce 3 Year Rum bottle pays tribute to Colombian culture with hieroglyphics that represent popular Colombian activities and honor Colombian traditions.
Parce is also committed to giving back to Colombia and the world through their One Bottle = One Tree program. In partnership with conTREEbute, this sustainability initiative guarantees that for every bottle of Parce 8 Year Rum and Parce 12 Year Rum sold, Parce will plant a native tree in Colombia. To date, Parce has planted more than 30,000 trees.
The full Parce portfolio will be available in on and off premise venues in most markets beginning September 1, 2017.
