Suntory unveils Yamazaki Mizunara 2017 Edition

Suntory Whisky has introduced its latest expression, the Yamazaki Mizunara 2017 Edition.

This mizunara edition from The House of Suntory Whisky has been blended from a selection of single malt whiskies aged entirely in mizunara casks for at least 18 years. Suntory’s chief blender, Shinji Fukuyo believes that each creation is a new journey to achieve a balance of subtlety, refinement and complexity.

“I wanted to reveal the whisky’s soul that is the Art of Mizunara – a heightened sense and awakened palate, engaged through aromas and flavours never known before. Encountering it should be a moment of epiphany.”

Presented in a wooden box crafted from recycled Suntory casks, the Yamazaki Mizunara 2017 Edition will be available to purchase from selected retailers from 3 October at £1,000 RRP.
