Paragraph Publishing has launched the first international quarterly publication dedicated to gin.
Gin Magazine has been released today November 17, 2017 in the UK and will be available in the US from January 2, 2018. The magazine was warmly received by industry producers and figures at a launch party in London’s Merchant’s House. It will publish four times a year; February, May, August and November.
Gin Magazine will consist of regular tasting features including 22 bottles, in-depth producer focuses, interviews, production and botanicals and cocktails to try and home. It is available in the UK at newsagents including WHSmith and Waitrose, in the US at Barnes + Noble and across its digital platform www.gin-mag.com. Print and digital subscriptions are available at https://ginmag.imbmsubscriptions.com.
Gin Magazine will join UK-based Paragraph Publishing’s portfolio of magazines that includes Whisky Magazine, Scotland Magazine, World’s Best Spirits, World’s Best Beers and Scotland’s Best. Gin Magazine will include the winners of the prestigious World Gin Awards in its February edition.
It was announced at the launch party that Gin Magazine will host the Icons of Gin awards and Gin Magazine Hall of Fame for the first time in 2018. The industry only awards recognise the best people, products and places in the world of gin. Nominations are now open to the industry for Icons of Gin 2018 at iconsofgin.wordpress.com. More information and links to nomination forms are available on the site.
Rebecca Sterritt, managing editor of Gin Magazine says: "There is no other spirits category more deserving of its own dedicated magazine title right now than gin. We are so excited to be able to showcase what the gin industry currently has to offer and we are even more intrigued about what is yet to come. Whether a self-confessed gin geek, or simply someone that wants to learn a little more, our readers are sure to love this quarterly juniper journal."
