Street art adorns Johnnie Walker gift packs

Diageo has revealed Artist Series Johnnie Walker gift packs adorned with artwork from street artist Tristan Eaton.

Diageo has collaborated with the American artist to create a design for each of its trademark whiskies, from Johnnie Walker Red Label and the Johnnie Walker Black Label through to the brand’s, Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

Eaton says: “There are a lot of similarities between what I do as an artist and what the Johnnie Walker blenders do. We’re on a search for quality. We’re trying to find a way to master raw materials to create a final product that people will enjoy and connect with.

“Enjoying whisky should be an experience for all the senses. These limited edition gift packs are perfect for people with a keen interest in art and whisky. They are celebratory and fun but I hope there’s something there visually for hard core whisky connoisseurs about how we took this flavour and represented it visually so they can discover how it looks the way it tastes.”

Jim Beveridge says: “Tristan’s exceptional talent is self-evident. He has a rare ability to interpret the things he hears, tastes, touches and smells, and render those things visually. The vibrant and vivid illustrations that have come out of that are nothing short of spectacular and make for a beautiful representation of some of our most iconic blends.”

The limited edition Johnnie Walker Artist Series packs have been released in time for the festive gifting season and will be available from specialist whisky stores and selected online retailers with an RRP equivalent to the standard pricing for the core Johnnie Walker range.
