Plenty on the menu at exclusive packaging event

Those working in the drinks industry will have masses to see at Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London 2018, which returns to London’s Olympia on 12 and 13 September.

The exclusive two-day event enables packaging professionals to meet face-to-face, network and do business. It also allows buyers to discover new ways to improve the appearance of their products, reduce environmental impact or find the next exciting packaging innovation. Over 150 exhibitors are already signed up for the show, including major FMCG packaging names, such as Pollard Boxes, Menshen Packaging UK, Showcase Creative, Zone Creations, Starprint Vietnam JSC and JL Packaging Group.

New Concepts

Those looking for beverage packaging solutions will not want to miss the DS Smith Packaging Consumer stand. It will be unveiling its new packaging for the GlenAllachie Scotch Whisky range, which recreates the natural look and feel of rocks on the packaging itself.

Croxsons will be showing its comprehensive collection of glass packaging solutions for the food and beverage sectors, including a wide range of premium spirit bottles and luxury closures.

IPL Packaging will reveal its Emmy’s Sterling Iridium and Sterling Iridium packs. Following the successful launch of its custom-made luxury Cabernet Sauvignon Iridium from Sterling Vineyards, which was gifted to award winners at the Emmy Awards Governor’s Ball after-party in 2017, IPL has created a similar packaging solution for Iridium to use at retail. The pack has a similar appearance and visual impact, yet is appropriately tailored to the retail market and is more cost-effective to produce.

Conference Content

In addition to the packed showfloor, Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London 2018 will play host to an exciting array of interactive content designed to give the visitors the tools they need to achieve greater success.

The free-to-attend seminar programme will be delivered across three stages with dedicated forums for the drink, food, beauty and luxury markets. With high-profile speakers from organisations including Carlsberg, M&S and Diageo and Garcon Wines already confirmed, the seminar programme promises to offer more educational content and advice for packaging professionals than ever before. The show will also feature the highly anticipated Big Plastics Debate, following its successful launch at the NEC show in March.

The Pentawards Conference will be returning, with some of the world’s most successful packaging influencers explaining how designers can take advantage of current industry trends and tackle certain industry challenges.

New for 2018, the show will also introduce its brand-new partnership with ADF & PCD, the world’s premier event for aerosol, dispensing, perfume and cosmetics. The collaboration will see the introduction of a dedicated ‘ADF Zone’ on the showfloor, which will welcome a selection of leading suppliers. ADF will also curate a series of seminars along with its sister event, PCD.

The show will also offer a host of interactive features for visitors to get involved in. Back by popular demand is The Innovation Showcase and Innovation Wall, offering packaging professionals an insight into the latest trends and cutting-edge innovations within the industry. The highly anticipated Pentawards Exhibit will allow attendees to get hands-on with the world’s best designed packaging.
