Stölzle Glass launches range aimed at rum

Stölzle Glass Group has announced the launch of its Prestige Standards range aimed at the rum market, to RumFest 2018.

The launch comes as a result of Stölzle finding an opportunity in the rum sector for startups to make their mark ahead of what it calls the 'expected boom in interest for the spirit over the next couple of years.'

The new range was produced with startups in mind, who may not have the capital for fully bespoke bottles in the same way larger spirits companies do, but still want their glassware to feel premium and to the highest standard.

To service these needs, Stölzle has created a range totaling 12 bottles. Each has designed and precision-engineered glass bottle standards as a canvas. All bottles are categorised by four different families. The Straight and Taper ranges are made up of four bottles, each with two height options. The Barrel range offers two bottles of differing heights, and the Conical range includes two silhouette options of the same height. Each bottle in the range has the capability to be coloured and customised to a business’ brand aesthetic. Brands can also decorate their bottles with a number of techniques including, but not limited to, Screen Printing, Acid-Etch Spraying and Precious Metal Application.

Speaking on the launch, Gary Steen, UK sales director at Stölzle, comments: “Our research into spirit trends for the next few years all pointed one way: rum is going to be ‘the next gin’, making this an ideal time for those looking to start out in the rum world. Our Prestige Standards range is designed with those startups in mind who are keen to cement their brand identities in the market, but might not have the budget to stretch to fully bespoke bottles. We’re delighted to be launching the range at RumFest and look forward to working with rum brands of future!”
