Harvey Nichols launches own-label gin

High-street icon, Harvey Nichols, has launched Metropolitan Gin. It's the company's first own-label gin and will be available in all stores nationwide.

Distilled in small batches on Portobello Road, Metropolitan Gin sees a juniper-led recipe blended with botanicals and key ingredients that take inspiration from the eight cites that house Harvey Nichols. Clover for Dublin, heather for Edinburgh, rose for the Yorkshire city of Leeds, a West African spice called grains of paradise that was shipped to Bristol for use in gin, honeymade by the worker bee that has become one of the best-known symbols of Manchester, lemon as one of the main ingredients in Liverpool tart, coriander seeds, cardamom pods and ginger that are all inspired by the home of the balti: Birmingham.

Rob Graves, head of food & beverage buying at Harvey Nichols says: “Metropolitan Gin is a celebration of everything we love; our people and our home, stylish innovation and timeless tradition. We believe our gin offers customers a quality, craft spirit, full of botanicals, with great heritage.”

Harvey Nichols Metropolitan Gin RRP £35.50, is currently available online and in all stores.
