Brand builders Marussia Beverages UK, have won the distribution rights to the new Hinch Distillery in Ireland.
Hinch will distribute both their whiskey range and Ninth Wave small batch gin, which is available to both the on-trade and off-trade through Marussia from the end of April.
The distillery is located just south of Belfast in the grounds of the Killaney Estate. The distillery takes its name from the nearby town of Ballynahinch, which translates to ‘town of the island’.
The Hinch Distillery design has incorporated elements which will both validate the ‘craft’ credentials and also position the brand as an innovator within the Irish whiskey category. The range includes: Hinch Small Batch, 5 Years Old Double Wood, 10 Years Old Sherry Cask which will be available from mid April and a pot still and peated single malt which will be available later in the year.
Marussia’s (UK) head of marketing, Sarah Gandy comments: “We’re really excited for the Hinch distillery to join our portfolio of some of the world’s most premium Bourbons, vodkas, rums, gins and liqueurs. It truly compliments all of the premium brands currently in our portfolio and the team are excited to showcase the range to our ever expanding customer base.”
