Speciality Brands signs exclusive distribution deal with Irish distillery

Speciality Brands has signed an exclusive UK distribution deal with Irish distillery The Boatyard.

Launched in 2016 by Joe McGirr, The Boatyard is the first working distillery in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland for more than 130 years.

The distillery's partnership with drinks agency Speciality Brands will see its range of classic style spirits, including Boatyard Double Gin, Boatyard Old Tom Gin and Boatyard Vodka, distributed across the UK.

Chris Seale, managing director at Speciality Brands, said: "The Boatyard Distillery presented us with the right combination of authenticity, quality and provenance. Joe and his team have already achieved great success in a short space of time and we’re looking forward to taking the brand to the next level in the UK on- and off-trade."

The Boatyard Distillery joins the agency’s stable of award-winning spirits including Diplomatico rum, Hine cognac, Black Tot, Beluga vodka and Cocchi vermouth.
