The first spirits-focused event at Vinexpo has seen industry experts showcase their products and discuss trends and threats facing the sector.
Be Spirits took place at the wine industry event for its first time in Paris, bringing together spirits exhibitors from around the world, from UK-based Halewood Wine & Spirits - the first major company to launch a CBD rum under its Dead Man's Fingers brand - to a single malt from Tibet and an artisinal 'ancestral mezcal' from Mexico.
The special event also featured conferences under two themes, Be Mixology and Be Brand, with a series of talks and seminars running daily throughout the show on topics including the global 'experience economy' trend, the growing popularity of no and low alcohol beverages and the digital trend towards Instagrammable products.
