Rhône wine producer Cellier des Dauphins has unveiled a new pink expression.
Officially launched at Wine Paris, Val Soléu follows dedicated research by the winemaker into the rosé sector, in particular the growing popularity of premium Provençal style rosés.
Targeted at the millennial market, it is a special release rosé from Drôme Provençale in the north of the Côte d'Azur region made with a blend of cinsault and grenache.
Cellier des Dauphins is launching the expression in a new bottle, with a lavender colour scheme to represent the lavender fields and olive groves which surround its vineyards.
The company is already a leading producer of Rhône rosé, holding a 25 per cent market share, and is seeing 10 per cent year-on-year growth in its rosé sales.
The launch of Val Soléu is part of a new brand strategy led by CEO Laurent Reinteau, who joined Cellier des Dauphins in 2017, which has already seen the launch of a new range of premium wines with revamped labels and a new bottle shape.
