Tomatin announces latest travel retail exclusive expression

Scotch whisky distiller Tomatin has announced the latest edition to its global travel retail range.

The 21 Years Old, which is making its first appearance at floating whisky fair Cinderella, will be available in travel retail outlets at selected airports including Amsterdam, Istanbul and Sydney for €175.

The whisky has been matured in first fill ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV. Tomatin says it has notes of tropical fruits and croissants on the nose, apple and sweet honey on the palate and a buttery finish.

It joins an illustrious crowd in Tomatin's travel retail range, which also includes an 8 Years Old, 12 Years Old, 15 Years Old and 40 Years Old. Tomatin is seeing significant growth in global travel retail sales, clocking a 70 per cent increase in 2019.

Graham Nicolson, sales director at Tomatin, said: "Our travel retail range has won dozens of awards over the years and I'm confident that the 21 Years Old will perform incredibly well across the globe. Thanks to exciting releases like this, we are expecting continued growth in the travel retail sector in 2020."
