The Glasgow Distillery Company is hoping to seize a corner of the 'botanical vodka' market with two new releases.
Its G52 Botanical Vodkas, made without artificial sweetners, flavours or colourants, have been developed to encourage consumers to get more creative and adventurous with their cocktails.
The range launches with two expressions: Fresh Citrus, which is packed with zesty botanicals including grapefruit, lemon, lime and orange and is designed to pair with tonic water or soda; and Rich Coffee, which is distilled with Colombian coffee beans, cacao nibs, tonka beans and fresh oranges and which the distillery says would sit well in an espresso martini.
Mike Hayward, brand director and co-founder of Glasgow Distillery Company, said: "The rise in popularity and availability of gin over the last few years has created a large consumer base who are constantly seeking to explore and discover new drinking experiences. We are all much more educated on botanicals and distillation methods, with provenance and authenticity becoming key indicators of quality.
"In light of this, we wanted to create an experimental range of vodka that explores various botanicals and offers the consumers exciting new flavours, proving that vodka doesn't have to be one-dimensional in flavour."
G52 Botanical Vodka (40% ABV) is available for purchase from the Glasgow Distillery website priced at £25 for a 70cl bottle.
