UK winemaker Hattingley Valley has announced the launch of its first still wines.
Until now the Hampshire-based vineyard has specialised in sparkling wines, for which is has claimed various plaudits, but this month has seen it unveil two still wines which will soon hit the shelves.
The 2019 rosé is made from pinot noir précoce, sourced from Kent and Berkshire vineyards, and will be released in early April, while the 2016 pinot noir, which has been aged for three years in French oak barrels, is set to be released later this year.
A small-batch production of 8,000 bottles will be available to purchase from the Hattingley Wines website, Entoria & Coe and at independent retailers throughout the UK.
