Funkin Cocktails offers RTD home delivery solution

Cocktail innovator Funkin Cocktails is looking to help operators mitigate the commercial effects of COVID 19, and maximise the opportunity that home delivery services offer, with its new Funkin Nitro Canned cocktails range.

According to CGA data released earlier this month, a third of consumers are looking for drinks to complement their meals, while Funkin also asserts that people are more dependent than ever on food deliveries.

“Funkin Cocktails is here to support our customers in these challenging times as they switch to home delivery,” says Ben Anderson, Funkin Cocktails marketing director. “Over 10m people include cocktails in their drinks repertoires and demand is growing at 10% per annum. Making cocktails from scratch at home can be complex and time-consuming; however, by providing our Nitro Canned cocktails with home delivery services, operators will add value and provide the perfect solution.”

Funkin Cocktails takes credit for spearheading the growth of bar-quality cocktails in the ready- to-drink premium cans market, with the UK’s first ever range of nitrogen-infused canned cocktails. This features four classic serves: Passionfruit Martini, Espresso Martini, Pink Gin Fizz and the new Piña Colada. 

“Consumers are missing social contact but want to maintain rituals, so a virtual night out on Zoom or House Party, drinking cocktails and eating food from their favourite local pub or restaurant is a great alternative,” says Ben Anderson. “Operators who provide these experiences will build loyalty and keep the revenue coming in.”

Powered by nitro innovation, the colourful cans contain real fruit and “present a perfect serve, with a creamy foam head and a smooth, velvety mouthfeel”, which replicates the experience of a shaken cocktail. Consumers simply need to chill, rotate, open and pour.
