UK winemaker Hattingley Valley has announced the second release in its collection of still wines.
The Hampshire-based sparkling wine specialist is adding a 2016 pinot noir to its Still by Hattingley range, which launched earlier this year with a 2019 rosé.
Created by head winemaker Emma Rice, the Still Pinot Noir is made from 89 per cent pinot noir and 11 per cent pinot noir precoce. Following a three-year aging in French oak barrels, the wine was bottled in March. Hattingley Valley describes the wine as full bodied, with rich dark berry fruit and smoke notes and a silky finish.
The small-batch pinot noir is available to purchase from Friday, 31 July from www.hattingleyvalley.com.
