Glasgow visitors and locals will get to experience a touch of the Isle of Harris this Autumn as a new gin bar opens its doors.
Tucked away in the Café Gandolfi, the Isle of Harris Gin bar will be open for sessions on Thursday, Friday and Saturday until mid-December to give guests an intimate experience of the Isle of Harris Distillery.
Led by a distillery brand ambassador and a dedicated bartender, the sessions will include a tasting of Isle of Harris Gin and a chance to sample Gandolfi's fresh seafood.
The distillery team says it is trying to embody the spirit of an old Gaelic proverb with its new venture: Deagh Bhiadh, Deagh Bheannachd, which translates as "well fed, well blessed".
The sessions will host a maximum of 16 people and will run on a ticketed basis, with appropriate Covid-secure measures taken to ensure guests' safety. Tickets are £40 per person (including three cocktails and three seafood pairings) and can be purchased via Eventbrite.
Guests will also have a chance to buy bottles of gin at the bar, with the space open as a dedicated gift shop on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
