Silent Pool gathers global citrus varieties for Rare Citrus Gin

The distillers behind Silent Pool Gin have unveiled a new expression containing some of the world's rarest citrus fruits.

Silent Pool Rare Citrus Gin is crafted from unusual fruits from arouond the world, including Asian citrus fruits hirado buntan, natsudaidai and Buddha's hand, and green Seville orange. The fruits are sourced from citrus collectors on Portugal's Alentejo coast, where more than 300 citrus varieties are grown.

Distilled using UK producer Silent Pool's four-tiered method, the resulting gin is zesty and vibrant and comes with a bottle wrap showcasing the botanicals and citrus fruits inside.

Ian McCulloch, co-founder of Silent Pool Gin, said: "At the beginning of 2020 we predicted that citrus gins would be a trend within the premium drinks category and we're delighted to introduce our Rare Citrus Gin to the market and to the Silent Pool family. This is not a flavoured gin, but rather a masterfully blended spirit that is both aromatic and unique in taste."

Silent Pool Rare Citrus Gin is on sale via silentpooldistillers.com, priced at £37 for a 70cl bottle, with more stockists to follow.
