Small-batch spirits brand Ealing Gin has secured a retail listing with Harrods within a year of its launch.
Created by husband and wife team Amanda and Simon Duncan, the brand is designed to embody all that is best about the West London borough - nicknamed "the queen of the suburbs".
The recipe includes botanicals inspired by the parks and gardens of Ealing, including chamomile flowers, garden mint and rose petals, while the bottle and packaging pay homage to the borough's Art Deco architecture.
The Duncans have also built social responsibility into their brand with a pledge to give 20 per cent of profits to charities addressing loneliness and social isolation.
Nick Fleming, spirits buyer for Harrods, said: "When choosing new brands I am always on the lookout for something distinctive, fresh and authentic, all of which I found with Ealing Gin. It is a beautifully crafted, deep-flavoured gin in a stunning bottle with a great story to tell - all the things our discerning Harrods customers expect."
Amanda Duncan added: "To be part of the Harrods family so soon after our inception is a great honour. The Harrods wine and spirits department is at the very forefront of drinks retailing... it's brilliant to be part of that."
