Spiced rum brand Sailor Jerry has announced the next installment in its #SupportYourArtist social media campaign to support tattoo artists.
The brand is partnering with Kingpin Tattoo Supplies to give away a total of $30,000 (£23,100) worth of tattoo supplies to selected artists around the world through "Shop Supply Drop", to support those hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Running for eight weeks, the campaign will be rolled out on social media through October and November with nominees and winners being announced and voted for on the Sailor Jerry Instagram page.
Each week up to three winners will be chosen to receive their prize - a $1,000 voucher fulfilled with Kingpin Tattoo Supplies - with the final two weeks of the campaign seeing up to 10 winners chosen. Each winning artist will be announced and promoted on the Sailor Jerry Instagram channel.
Gemma Kane, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum global brand and culture ambassador, said: "Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum originated from old-school tattooing, and it's at the heart of what Sailor Jerry is. We want to be there for the tattoo artists and shops that have always been there for us and with #SupportYourArtist we strive to honour and support this community."
Sailor Jerry launched the first #SupportYourArtist social campaign in April, by pre-purchasing original Sailor Jerry tattoos from 11 artists around the globe to help put tattoo artists back to work. The new Shop Supply Drop campaign will run until 14 November.
