Pernod's Scotch whisky business Chivas Brothers has unveiled its 2020 Distillery Reserve Collection, with 48 new single cask expressions showcasing the best of Speyside.
Available to purchase at Chivas Brothers' distilleries, the collection comprises a selection of whiskies aged four to 29 years from distilleries including Strathisla, Arberlour, and Scapa.
At the heart of the collection is a range of 10 single casks from The Glenlivet, from an 8 Years Old matured in a first-fill barrel up to a 25 Years Old from a second-fill butt. For the first time, a smaller selection of The Glenlivet Distillery Reserve Collection bottlings will also be available from the distillery's website offering fans in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark the chance to sample them despite current travel restrictions.
The wider collection features three expressions from Dalmunach, credited as one of Scotland's most technologically advanced distilleries, as well as releases from some of the smaller distilleries in Chivas Brothers' portfolio, including a pair of Aberlour 13 Years Old single casks.
Miriam Eceolaza, marketing director, single malts at Chivas Brothers, said: "Our distilleries are the beating heart of Chivas Brothers and the Distillery Reserve Collection celebrates the heritage, innovation and style that make each one unique. This one-of-a-kind collection has been hand-selected to showcase the breadth of character and bold flavours single malt distilleries can achieve. I'm thrilled to be able to invite whisky lovers to join us in celebrating the stories of Speyside and delve even deeper into the vast world of single malt whiskies."
The full Distillery Reserve Collection is available to purchase from The Glenlivet, Strathisla, Aberlour and Scapa distillery visitor centres. In line with the latest Scottish government guidelines, each site is taking extensive Covid-secure measures to keep visitors safe.
The whiskies in the collection are from the following distilleries: Aberlour, Allt A' Bhainne, Braeval, Caperdonich, Dalmunach, Glen Keith, The Glenlivet, Glentauchers, Longmorn, Miltonduff, Scapa, Strathisla and Tormore.
