Australian gin brand Four Pillars has launched its second spirit in as many months in UK retail after securing a listing with Marks & Spencer for its Modern Australian Gin.
Launching exclusively with M&S this week, the gin - which calls itself a contemporary 'Aussie' twist on a classic London dry - will be available in more than 70 stores nationwide with a recommended price of £33.50.
It follows the launch of Four Pillars' Bloody Shiraz gin with Waitrose stores in October, which M&S will also stock.
Stuart McGregor, co-founder of Four Pillars, said: "We're stoked to have not one but two of our gins now in some of the UK's best supermarkets. Our Modern Australian is our contemporary take on the classic - a bright and dry gin with a native twist. It's delicious, it's different and will make for a great G&T, or a perfect dry Martini."
David White, Marks & Spencer spirits buyer, added: "We're thrilled to be exclusive stockists for this unique gin. Many of our customers are discerning gin drinkers, and we can't wait to hear what they think of these exciting new additions to our award-winning spirits range."
Made in Four Pillars' German-manufactured copper pot stills, the Modern Australian Gin combines juniper with native Australian and Asian botanicals including lemon myrtle, red and green Szechuan, quandong, macadamia nuts, fresh grapefruit peel and Rosie Glow apples.
The Yarra Valley-based distiller is currently Australia's fastest-growing spirits producer and only sits behind Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray in terms of value within the competitive Australian gin market.
