Slingsby Gin has unveiled an advertising campaign focused on its award-winning Rhubarb Gin which is hitting TV screens in the UK.
'The Original Yorkshire Rhubarb Gin' campaign, which is airing on channels including Sky One, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Channel 5 and Comedy Central, aims to showcase the best of the flavoured expression as well as Slingby's home town of Harrogate.
Running until 19 December, the advert is expected to reach an audience of more than 1.3 million in Yorkshire and the North of England and will be supported by a print and social media campaign to drive sales and awareness around Slingsby and its producer, Spirit of Harrogate. The brand has adopted a new artwork style too, to reflect the nostaglia and escapism of vintage Harrogate spa town tourism posters.
Having begun life as a development gin in the brand's store and experience, Slingsby Rhubarb Gin is made using its London Dry Gin and locally sourced rhubarb from Yorkshire's 'Rhubarb Triangle'.
The advertising campaign coincides with the launch of a festive gift bundle for Slingsby Rhubarb Gin, which includes three bottles of the gin of varying sizes, branded highball glasses, Fever-Tree elderflower tonic and ginger ale, and a Spirit of Harrogate gift bag. The bundle is available to purchase at www.spiritofharrogate.co.uk.
Marcus Black, co-founder of Spirit of Harrogate, said: "We have created a campaign that showcases Slingsby as the number one choice for rhubarb gin gifting this year. We know flavoured gin is a competitive marketplace, and people will try out lots of different flavours, but we are proud to say that out loyal fan base always returns to our Slingsby Rhubarb Gin.
"This year has been like no other, and we have remained nimble and reacted to what our customers want and need - we know that pink and rhubarb-flavoured gins are still a huge trend and The Original Yorkshire Rhubarb Gin campaign celebrates that in all its glory; from a cinematic advert to a new gifting bundle offer, we are delighted be be celebrating rhubarb from our ultra-premium core range this year."
