Four new appointments at Mangrove UK

Premium spirits importer and distributor Mangrove UK has appointed four new staff to its sales and business development team.

David Fisher, Jack Gething and Lewis Richards will take on business development manager (BDM) roles, while Bruna Sedo Molina has been appointed as UK brand ambassador for El Bandarra vermouth.

David brings a wealth of experience from the drinks industry and mostly recently held the role of partner manager at Maverick Drinks. He will take on the Central England territory, covering Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Oxford and Cambridge, promoting Mangrove brands in the on-trade.

Experienced in sales and brand activiation, Jack landed the BDM London role after returning from Mexico earlier in 2020, where he was export sales executive for Mezcal Amores and Mezcal Verde.

Lewis, who has previously worked in sales at Merchants Heart Tonic and Molson Coors, will cover the South West and South Wales territory focusing on premium bars and regional groups.

As the first El Bandarra UK brand ambassador, Bruna will be tasked with advocating the Spanish aperitif brand and building on-trade partnerships, with a particular focus on its new expression Al Fresco which launched worldwide in July 2020.

Nick Gillett, managing director of Mangrove, said: "We are a growing business and despite the current restrictions on our industry and a challenging year, we have been able to expand our portfolio introducing new brands including Clonakilty, Abasolo, Nixta and Ojo de Tigre from Casa Lumbre, and Bloody Drinks. We also continue to work with some of the world's leading premium spirits brands and it's been a pleasure to work with them as they grow and develop.

"The hiring of new talent is critical to the ongoing success of our excellent team. I am delighted to welcome David, Bruna, Jack and Lewis to Mangrove and I'm confident these driven and creative recruits will help us achieve success in 2021 and beyond."
