Lava Spirits Co launches range of coffee gins

Drinks brand Lava Spirits Co is making its UK debut with two products to delight fans of gin and coffee.

Its signature Coffee Gin and Coffee Orange Gin (a UK first) are now on sale to UK customers, with a recommended price of £45 per bottle. The company is hoping to make a splash in online sales while capitalising on the growing trend for people to 'drink better, drink less', which has helped boost sales of premium spirits.

Lava Spirits says its gins could be served long with tonic or ginger beer, sipped neat over ice, or mixed into cocktails. 

The brand was launched by entrepreneur Laura Bridge, who left the fast-paced life of London behind to pursue gin making. She sources South American arabica coffee beans for her spirits, which are roasted and blended with London dry gin.

Laura said: "I'm so proud of Lava Spirits Co and the drinks I've created in this small-batch start-up. I can't believe that what started at the kitchen table has grown into something I'm able to launch to market, and the IWSC award at this early stage leaves me speechless.

"The gins are most definitely unique, and I love the fact that they embody so many things I love and feel passionate about - coffee, gin, and memories of living in Italy and its culture. I've met some very talented artisans along the way, including the roasters and distillers, all of whom have enriched my knowledge, enabling me to produce this unique, premium coffee gin."
