Aldi unveils festive drinks range celebrating Scottish brewers and distillers
Aldi has unveiled its 2020 Christmas drinks line-up, featuring a number of well-known Scottish distillers and brewers, award-winning whiskies and gins, and festive brews.
The budget supermarket will have the festive range on sale across its 95 stores in Scotland throughout December. It includes:
-
The Glen Marnoch Single Malt Whisky range, which offers a choice of Highland, Islay and Speyside single malts for drinkers and starts at £16.49 for a 70cl bottle.
-
Eidyn Gin, a premium London dry gin which was developed exclusively for Aldi by The Old Curiosity Distillery in Edinburgh earlier this year.
-
A miniature gift set and full-sized bottles from the Eden Mill Botanical Project, which features a range of flavours including Chilli and Ginger, Plum and Pink Grapefruit, and Passionfruit and Coconut.
-
Also from the Eden Mill Botanical Project, there is a canned cocktail range including Blackcurrant and Rhubarb Gin with Ginger and Baked Apple and Salted Caramel Gin with Cola, and a bottled mulled wine.
-
A selection of seasonal beers including Santa's Sledgehammer from the Cairngorm Brewery and the Orkney Brewery's Clootie Dumpling, as well as Edinburgh-based brewer Innis & Gunn and barrel-aged ales from Clan Ales.
Graham Nicolson, group buying director at Aldi Scotland, said: "Scotland's prodigious talent for brewing and distilling is recognised around the world, and with the range of exceptional Scottish beers and spirits on offer at Aldi this Christmas it is clear to see why.
"We are proud to support our extremely talented and inventive Scottish brewers and distillers who have outdone themselves again with this fantastic line-up of Scottish drinks perfect for the festive season."
