Non-alcoholic distilled spirits brand Stryyk has secured a second listing with Tesco in anticipation of an increase in demand in 2021.
Stryyk Not Rum is now available in more than 650 Tesco stores across the UK, joining the brand's Not Gin which launched with the retailer last April.
It is one of many brands to take advantage of a recent shift in consumer behaviour which has seen more people lowering their alcohol intake and considering no and low-alcohol alternatives. According to a recent You Gov poll, more than a quarter of drinkers are looking to cut down their alcohol consumption in 2021.
Alex Carlton, Elegantly Spirited CEO and founder of Stryyk, said: "Consumers are responding really positively to Stryyk and this is a major coup in a highly competitive sector. Stryyk has an excellent taste profile, premium branding and an accessible price point and hits the spot for Tesco shoppers looking to enjoy the drinks they love, minus alcohol but without compromising taste or experience."
Launched in the UK on-trade in 2018, Stryyk is distilled and bottled in the UK. The range now comprises Not Gin, Not Rum and Not Vodka, with each bearing characteristics of its namesake spirit. In 2019 Funkin Cocktails, another brand founded by Alex Carlton, signed a long-term deal to act as Stryyk's exclusive UK distributor.
Alex added: "Drinkers want brands that resonate with their changing tastes and Stryyk offers an exciting alternative to alcoholic spirits and meets the demand for low and no-alcohol. The Stryyk range is stylish, credible and category-aligned, allowing consumers to maintain their desire for ritual and taste."
