Don Papa signs UK distribution deal with Indie Brands

UK spirits distribtuor Indie Brands has announced a distribution partnership with Don Papa Rum.

It joins Indie Brands' growing portfolio of global spirits producers, including the Isle of Arran Distillery, Saint James Rhum, Koskenkorva Vodka and Tequila Fortaleza.

The first premium single island rum from the Philippines, Don Papa was launched in 2012 by Stephen Carroll, managing director and founder of the Bleeding Heart Rum Company.

It is distilled and aged in American oak barrels on the island of Negros Occidental - known locally as Sugarlandia. The brand is currently available in 30 markets worldwide. The announcement of the new partnership follows a major winter marketing campaign for Don Papa, 'It only happened once'.

Don Papa is available in the UK with Sainsbury's, wine merchant Majestic, major specialist retailers and online, as well as in bars and restaurants.
