Canned cocktails and wines brand Sipful Drinks has appointed Sauce Communications to handle its PR.
Sustainable ready-to-drink brand Sipful was launched in May 2020 by husband and wife team Emily and Darius Darwell, who set out to create a canned alternative to the beers they used to take on their walking and camping adventures.
The brand currently has four drinks in its range: Organic Bubbles, Mimosa, Blood Orange Mimosa and Bellini. The drinks are created using organic Spanish wine and natural fruit flavours and are sold in fully recyclable cans.
Inkeeping with its mission to be a sustainable and 'planet-positive' brand, Sipful Drinks has partnered with the Every Can Counts initiative to promote aluminium recycling and raise rates of recycling in the UK.
The couple has tapped into a growing trend for RTD options for cocktails and wines; the global canned wine market was valued at US$70.3 million in 2019 and is expected to reach more than US$150 million by 2027. Canned sparkling wine currently holds the largest share of this market.
The UK's canned wine market is on the rise and is now worth in the region of £3.6 million.
