Woodford Reserve has unveiled its annual limited-edition Batch Proof expression with a new-look bottle.
At 128.3 proof (64.1% ABV), this expression is part of the annual Master’s Collection series, which celebrates the Kentucky whiskey maker’s master distiller Chris Morris and assistant master distiller Elizabeth McCall.
The annual Batch Proof releases are designed as a celebration of Woodford Reserve’s proprietary processes, and are created using the same grain bill and process as its Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Woodford says the series takes the distillery’s ‘trademark flavour range of sweet vanilla and toasted oak’ to a new level compared with its standard 90.4-proof whiskey.
Chris Morris said: “Most people do not get to experience Woodford Reserve at such a high proof presentation, so we are honoured to share this special bourbon with the public.”
This limited-edition collection is available in select US and global markets, RRP $129.99 for a 750ml bottle. It is available at Woodford Reserve Distillery from 17 March.
