Sis4ers Distillery announces launch of spiced rum

Salford's Sis4ers Distillery is preparing for the launch of its own spiced rum.

The distiller, best known for its gins, is set to launch the Four Sisters Spiced Rum in early April.

It is made using a Caribbean-inspired spirit from a UK producer, with a mix of spices, vanilla and caramel. The striking bottle art features Amphritite, the goddess of the sea and wife of Posiden in Greek mythology.

Four Sisters Spiced Rum will be available on the distillery's webshop, while bottles will also be available for independent retail and wholesale suppliers and the on-trade, when venues reopen.

Launched in 2017, the Sis4ers Distillery is run by Kerry Collins, Hayley Robinson, Kate Haslam and Lucy McAvoy.

Of the new product, Lucy said: "We are hugely excited to launch our spiced rum. We have worked meticulously to craft the perfect balance of spices and flavour, to ensure our first rum on shelf is unique and memorable.

"Rum is often associated with the sea, and so we chose to add Amphitrite to the heart of our brand design. We wanted to add a feminine touch, a symbol of female strength to a drink that can often feel quite masculine."

They are siblings of the brothers behind the Seven Bro7hers Brewing Co, based on the same estate in Salford. They believe they are the largest group of direct siblings in the world operating in the alcoholic beverage industry.
