St Austell Brewery beers on sale with Majestic

Cornwall's St Austell Brewery has secured a listing with wine retailer Majestic for two of its flagship beers.

Its Tribute Pale Ale and Proper Job IPA - its most popular brands - are available nationwide from the Majestic website and in 200 stores nationwide.

Tribute (4/2% ABV) is a light, hoppy ale brewed with Cornish gold and Maris Otter malts, while Proper Job (5.5% ABV), the fastest-growing premium ale brand in the UK off-trade, is citrusy and powerfully hopped.

Andrew Turner, managing director of St Austell Brewery’s beer and brands, said: "We’re very proud to see two of our great brands on the shelves in Majestic stores across the country.

"The taste credentials and consistency of these beers have made them firm favourites with ale drinkers, in the West Country and beyond. With 37 years of combined success, both beers still have a loyal and growing following today. 

"We hope that existing fans of our beers will be pleased to hear about the new listing, and that Tribute and Proper Job will appeal to Majestic customers looking to try something new."

Majestic is continuing to expand its beer range in response to more at-home drinking and rising demand. Premium bottled ales in particular are performing well; the category has grown in value by 24 per cent in the past year, according to Nielsen.
