Scottish distillery Eden Mill is offering whisky fans the chance to sample its limited-release whiskies in a series of virtual tastings.
Taking place on 23 and 30 April, the sessions will give participants a glimpse into the heritage and running of Eden Mill as well as the chance to sample a selection of its whiskies.
Based on the original site of the Seggie Distillery in St Andrews, run by the Haig family until 1860, Eden Mill was the first company to make spirits in the region for 150 years when it launched in 2014.
The virtual tasting sessions will cover this brand history, as well as Eden Mill's £10 million venture to create one of Scotland's first carbon-neutral whisky distilleries.
Four miniature samples will be included in the tasting packs: the sold-out 2018 Single Malt; the 2019 Single Malt; the 2020 Single Malt; and Hip Flask Series 17, Eden Mill's first peated whisky, which was released earlier in 2021.
The events come one year after Eden Mill launched its virtual gin tastings, at the start of the UK's first coronavirus lockdown in March 2020. Since their launch more than 7,000 people across the UK have taken part in the online gin tastings, and Eden Mill hopes to replicate their success with its whisky events.
Eden Mill co-founder Paul Miller said: "We are passionate about our craft and look forward to bringing the story of Eden Mill’s whisky to life in homes across the UK for the first time.
"The tasting with our Eden Mill ambassador will allow as many whisky drinkers as possible to have the chance to savour and enjoy our progressive range of expressions and to understand how we use casks and flavour to create our liquid.
"This experience is the perfect opportunity for those who love whisky and whisky beginners alike to discover a taste of St Andrews. By participating you are joining us on a special part of our whisky journey as we get ready to open our net-zero whisky distillery on the banks of the Eden Estuary in 2022, and to join us in our passion for a greener future for our industry."
The inaugural Eden Mill virtual whisky tastings will take place on 23 and 30 April, with tickets (priced at £40) available at edenmill.com.
