Former WSTA chairman joins Kingsland Drinks board

Kingsland Drinks Group has appointed former Wine and Spirit Trade Association (WSTA) chairman Denis O'Flynn as a non-executive director.

O'Flynn will assist Kingsland with its growth and development following a series of strategic investments.

As well as a four-year stint with the WSTA - where he met Kingsland Drinks Group's managing director Ed Baker - O'Flynn served as managing director of Pernod Ricard UK for five years and was a board member at Irish Distillers.

Andy Sagar, executive chairman of Kingsland Drinks Group, said: "We are really pleased that Denis has now come on board formally after already working with us on a couple of major projects. His broad experience in the drinks trade will be a valuable asset to the team, especially as we continue to diversify our capability and offering."

Ed Baker added: "Denis has a great deal of knowledge about UK drinks for both wine and spirits, especially when it comes to brands. I’m confident he’ll be great addition to the team and aid in Kingsland Drinks Groups’ development."

Kingsland Drinks Group has bolstered its infrastructure significantly in the last year, increasing its capacity for packing bag-in-box wines and investing in a new canning line.

It also diversified its offering in 2020 with the launch of Ten Locks, a sister company that promotes and distributes premium spirits brands 'with purpose'.
