Amorim Top Series wins sustainability award

Amorim Top Series has been named Sustainable Supplier of the Year at the Luxury Packaging Awards 2021.

The Portuguese cork supplier has committed significant investment to research and development in order to make its closures, used widely across the wine and spirits industry, more sustainable.

This includes its efforts to reduce the use of plastic in its products by experimenting with bio-based polymers, and the recent launch of its RE-Cork recycled and biodegradable stoppers.

Judges at the Luxury Packaging Awards noted that Amorim Top Series had "a clear environmental ambition with goals and a plan of action" to support sustainable growth and operations.

Amorim Top Series is a long-time sponsor of the Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame and designed stoppers for the Whisky Magazine and Gin Magazine Hall of Fame trophies in 2021.

The Luxury Packaging Awards commend innovation and excellence in packaging design across the luxury drinks, personal care and cosmetics sectors.
