Special Camus Cognac release to mark entrepreneurship award

Camus Cognac has announced the launch of a special release to commemorate the first recipient of the Babson-Camus Global Family Entrepreneurship Award.

Babson College has partnered with Camus - whose head Cyril Camus is a Babson alumnus - partnered with the Cognac house to present the award during Babson Connect Worldwide 2021.

Ernesto Bertarelli of investment firm Waypoint Capital was the recipient of the award, the criteria of which were based on achieving impact through value-based entrepreneurship. The Bertarelli family has a history of supporting life sciences and marine conservation through the Bertarelli Foundation.

To mark the inaugural Babson-Camus Family Entrepreneurship Award, Cyril Camus commissioned a uinque piece to celebrate the Bertarelli family, inspired by the Roman goddess Minerva.

Camus partnered with French company les Fontes de Mars, a specialist in casting pewter, to create the piece, which combines gold-plated pewter and marble. At the centre of the piece is a crystal decanter from Bacccarat, filled with the rare Camus 1971 Reserve Cognac.

Cyril Camus said: "We wanted to recognise a family business that shares the same core values as both Camus and Babson College. My family has owned and operated Camus Cognac since 1863 so we understand the level of dedication and communication that comes with running a family business. We hope this special award celebrates the unique value Ernesto and the Bertarelli Family have contributed to our global economy."
