Eden Mill launches revamped miniature gin bottles

Scottish distiller Eden Mill has unveiled new packaging for its Love Gin miniatures range.

Created by Croxsons, the bespoke 5cl glass bottles complement Eden Mill's existing 70cl and 50cl Love Gin bottles, which launched last year. The switch from ceramic to glass came in response to consumer and trade feedback.

Available in various flavours, the miniatures are currently being used for two types of four-pack recyclable gift boxes, the distiller's virtual tastings and seasonal promotions.

In creating the miniatures, Croxsons retained the crystal cut dimple effect from the larger bottles, and swapped the original swing-stopper closures for a metal ROPP alternative.

Tony Kelly, co-owner of Eden Mill, said: "Our original miniatures with swing-stopper closures looked great, but the manual labour of producing the miniatures in our old bottle format was time consuming and labour intensive. With changes to our production capabilities, the miniature bottles now suit our bottling plant and help create supply chain efficiencies.

"Croxsons provided a glass packaging solution that fully extends across the Love Gin range. It not only helps reinforce our heritage in a striking and stylish way, it also provides some beneficial production and sustainability benefits. Customers love the look of them, and when going to purchase a full-sized bottle they can see the link between the whole range."

It comes as Eden Mill also announced the addition of two limited-edition gins to its exclusive Distiller's Choice collection, aged in red and white wine casks.

Developed by Eden Mill's senior distilling team of Scott Ferguson and Andrew Walker, the Red Wine Cask-Aged and White Wine Cask-Aged gins join Oak Old Tom Gin in the collection of contemporary expressions.
