Simpsons Wine Estate has signed a deal with Hallgarten & Novum Wines to distribute its range of wines in the UK on-trade.
Simpsons produces a range of premium sparkling and still wines from its vineyard in Kent including Gravel Castle Chardonnay, Rabbit Hole Pinot Noir and Railway Hill Rosé.
The deal marks a bid by Hallgarten to further capitalise on the prosperous state of the English wine industry, following on-trade successes with Gravel Castle and the Chalklands Classic Cuvée.
Charles Simpson, of Simpsons Wine Estate, said: "Our range of wines has been steadily growing in volume and variety over the last few years, and we were looking to work with a partner who could help us to gain traction with the on-trade nationwide.
"Hallgarten already have some fantastic existing accounts and a highly skilled team working with us, so it was a natural fit for both parties and we’re very excited to partner with them, further growing distribution for the brand.
"We’ve seen great success over the last couple of years working with the excellent team at Roberson Wine since 2019, and they will continue to sell our wines online."
Steve Daniel, head of buying at Hallgarten Wines, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Simpsons Wine Estate into our portfolio. When I first tasted the wines I knew instantly they would be a perfect fit in our English range.
"With their background of making wines in the South of France, the Simpson family add a unique perspective on English wines, one that the consumer is clamouring for, and one we are sure we can capitalise on in the UK on-trade."
