Scottish spirits brand Porter's Gin is expanding into the Spanish market this summer.
The distillery's full range, including its Modern Classic, Orchard and Tropical Old Tom gins, will be distributed by Beverage Hunters and available in on- and off-trade venues.
Spain is the 15th export market that Aberdeen-based Porter's has secured, with distribution already in place in France, Singapore, South Korea, the United States and Japan among other territories.
The brand was founded by Alex Lawrence, Ben Iravani and Josh Rennie, who turned the basement of their bar into a microdistillery. Its gins are cold distilled to extract more delicate flavours from the botanicals, which include pink peppercorn and Buddha's Hand citrus.
As part of its Spanish launch, Porter's Tropical Old Tom will feature on the 2021 menu at Barcelona cocktail bar Two Schmucks, which has secured a spot on the World's 50 Best Bars list.
Iravani said: "This is another exciting step in the growth of Porter’s. Spain is one of the biggest global markets for gin and an important territory within Europe. We're looking forward to working with some of the finest cocktail bars in the world and the start of a fruitful long-term partnership with Beverage Hunters."
A spokesperson for Beverage Hunters added: "It's a privilege to be adding Porter's Gin to our portfolio of premium brands. We're confident that our customers will be proud to stock such a prestigious brand."
