Bartending legend Tim Philips-Johansson has joined Johnnie Walker as its new global brand ambassador.
Melbourne native Tim brings with him more than 20 years' experience in the global drinks industry, having honed his skills in venues from London to New York. He is the founder world-famous bar Bulletin Place, four-time Australian cocktail bar of the year and five-time World's Best 50 Bars entrant, as well as the restaurant Dead Ringer.
The new role puts him at the forefront of designing the future of the Scotch whisky brand's experiences, which educate and inspire customers and consumers worldwide.
Julie Bramham, Johnnie Walker global brand director, said: "This is a really exciting time for Johnnie Walker, and to have Tim join us on this journey is a pleasure. He is one of the most revered and respected talents in our industry - and already a true advocate for Johnnie Walker."
Of his appointment, Tim said: "No one makes Scotch like Johnnie Walker. It's a whisky I've always had an affinity for, built on 200 years of progressive thinking and with incredible ambitions for the future like the recently-announced Johnnie Walker Next Steps initiative, upcoming opening of the new brand home, Johnnie Walker Princes Street, and much more.
"As we step into the next 200 years, I'm looking forward to finding ways to connect with trade and consumers from the four corners of Scotland, to the four corners of the world."
