UK-based rum producer Two Drifters Distillery has rebranded its spirits range as it steps up efforts to make itself as sustainable as possible.
The revamped bottles for Two Drifters' range - which comprises Overproof Spiced Pineapple Rum, Lightly Spiced Rum, Signature Rum and Pure White Rum - were created by design agency Here Design.
They are lighter and British made with natural cork stoppers (from FSC-certified sources), a 100 per cent compostable tamper seal, and paper labels made from sugarcane fibre, hemp and linen with a plant-based adhesive.
While the packaging has been redesigned Two Drifters says the liquid inside the bottles, made at its carbon-negative distillery in Devon, has not changed.
To date, Two Drifters estimates that is has avoided putting more than 35 tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere by tailoring its spirits production process to be as eco-friendly as possible. It has also recently invested in the creation of a Shopify online shop, through which it sells merchandise created using low-emissions technology and delivered in plastic-free packaging.
Two Drifters rums are available to buy at twodriftersrum.com and in retailers including John Lewis, Master of Malt and Spirits Kiosk.
